One of the major debates between scientists and theologians is whether the incredible statistical improbability of the universal conditions--from the big bang, to the goldilocks zone, to the laws of physics themselves--is a result of a creator, or just chance.
My thought works off of Occam's Razor (which states that one should always assume a less complicated theorem). Theologians argue an extreme degree of "fine tuning" to our universe, because scientists assert the improbability of the conditions of our universe. Scientists generally see this as a bogus delusion, but it's not so crazy.
For example, consider a person gets an IQ score of 310. Would it be more likely to assume he or she is a genius, or that they cheated? Because of the incredible unlikelihood of the outcome, it is reasonable to assume the theory which involves intentional manipulation of rules--cheating. I find this analogous to the creation debate.
